There is a limit as to how many guide "lookups" you do and some how you hit the limit. This is from the Windows Media Center SDK:
"An ExtendedPropertyExceededLimitException is thrown for "Title" and "Description" properties of scheduled recording events after the number of queries to those properties exceeds about 1200 times in one day."
I will decrease the number of lookups my app does. Not sure how you got to 1200 times in one day unless this is a total number of times for all 3rd party applications and you have more than one.
I can't do anything about the limit. Other programs have gotten around this by hacking the epg database. I am not going to do that because it is against the Windows EULA. You can click on the header "scheduled" and it will bring up the standard Windows Media Center scheduled recordings screen.
I still don't understand how people are hitting this limit :) even if you have a LOT of recordings scheduled. I'll have to give it some thought if there would be a way to cache them or something, but then I would also have to figure out how to keep the list up to date without hitting the limit.
Unfortunately, this isn't much of a workaround. As soon as I move to the "scheduled" tab, I get blasted with the errors. The only way I can do it is to go through the default recorded tv view to get to the schedules that way. Perhaps an option to disable the scheduled tab from showing anything so I can at least get to the default recording schedule through recorded tv hd?
I have an idea that should help you out... I will probably set an option for how many days of scheduled recordings to retrieve. That way depending on how many things you have scheduled you can adjust the number of days to try to avoid the error. You could even set it to 0 and then it would just be a button to show the default scheduled recordings interface.
